Signs of Lernaea
Visible parasites: The adult female Lernaea is worm-like and can be seen attached to the fish’s body.
Lethargy: Infected fish may appear lethargic and less active.
Skin lesions: Fish may develop red or white spots on their skin.
Increased mucus production: Fish may produce excessive mucus as a response to the irritation caused by the parasite.
Frayed fins: Fish may have frayed or damaged fins.
