Albacore Tuna Thunnus alalunga
Albacore Tuna is available in Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and mediterranean oceans mostly. Albacore has a conical snout, large eyes, and long pectoral fins. Its body is a deep blue dorsally and shades of silvery white ventrally with small scales. They can grow up to 4.5 feet in length. In general Albacore eats fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods. Reproduction usually occurs from November to February and an adult female can release over 2 million eggs in a single cycle.
